Today we spent the afternoon with my grandmother. She made homemade chicken salad sandwiches for lunch and then we made yummy cherry almond chocolate clusters for dessert :) She is such a great encourager to me and always listens and gives me advice about my art. When I talk with her new ideas pop into my mind for me to create! Of course she advised at the end of our brainstorming for me to finish painting my kitchen first, then start on my new ideas :) I think I'll take her advice and start painting again tonight. There are only nine days left of Tylor and Samantha's summer vacation, and I don't want to start the new school year with an unfinished kitchen. Valaine :)
Inspire Me Thursday - Beach Oh wow, I spent a good five hours on this today. It was surely a labor of love. I'm excited about this one because it has been a while since I've done a digital painting. I've been wanting to do a space painting for a long time so I thought it would be cool to combine it with the ocean to make it feel otherworldly.

I have so much to share and a lot of catching up do here! My prints came and I really really love the way they turned out! I still want to try out another printer and see how they are and compare them before I begin getting more prints made.
We finished painting the back porch and it looks great. Tylor and Samantha were a tremendous help!
I rearranged some furniture in my home to make a place for me to do art so I'll feel more creative, I can't wait to get started :) I have a few ideas for journals that I would like to sell and will begin them as soon as Tylor and Samantha start back school. They go back August 6. I'll be pretty busy this next week getting school supplies, clothes and enjoying the last week (and a half) of our summer vacation.
