Looks Like Fall
It now looks like fall. My tomatoes are withering away while trying to produce as much fruit as possible before they leave forever. I am very grateful for their effort. And those two faithful plants will never be again. The light shining through my bedroom windows has changed in the evening. The sunlight shines on my belongings and lets me see them in a warm glow. I'm reminded to be thankful for life when the color of the light changes with the season. I'm inspired to change with nature that is changing all around me. To let go of things unneeded and search for things that have the promise of new beginnings. I am constant in my heart like the constant falling leaves to make the best of my moments because I know that they will not last forever. My thoughts slightly drift and fall gently in my mind and become a memory as each and every moment becomes the past. I have so many aspirations and still so far to go to reach them. But as long as I'm persistent, I will achieve them.
Again I took photos this week. My home - inside and out. Some plants are still green and I am still enjoying their delightfulness. Acorns are falling on their own or with the help of some frisky squirrels trying to knock us on our heads :) I see decaying foliage beneath the trees and my feet. Has summer left and without saying goodbye? I love this time of year and yet I feel like I betray my summer garden that has become a faithful friend when I look past my garden to enjoy the beautiful fall sunsets. I can see my garden slowly dying, it's leaves have changed from a rich dark green to now a light lime green. I whisper my good byes in my heart and breathe in with faith that it will visit me again in 6 months. I look to my children and know it is time to focus on making the house warm with familiar blankets and the smell of homemade cookies and banana bread. It is almost time to write my grocery list for our Thanksgiving dinner. I already took my children this past Sunday to pick out their pumpkins. So we'll soon scoop them hollow and carve silly faces in them that we will light up with wax burning candles. It is time to live. It is time to not take anything for granted and to strive to be our best everyday. :)

I finally finished making a new journal for myself! It is in the top right corner photo :) I've been wanting to share these new photos! I take so many pictures all the time that I get behind and sometimes overwhelmed with them all. There are so many interesting things that catch my attention and I want to capture them forever! Like the heart leaf or the magnificent spider's web that glistens with morning dew.
